Nicht nur, dass für Hobbits die Existenz von Drachen fraglich erscheint und Abenteuer von ihnen verabscheut werden: Der Berg Erebor, in dem der Drache mit dem gestohlenen Schatz lebt, befindet sich noch dazu in einem weit entfernten Land im Osten von Mittelerde.
